Late 18th Century American Blown Flint
Glass Wine Circa 1790. This has a trumpet shape to the bowl and a wide
flaring 'folded' foot with an unpolished pontil mark on the base. The
bowl has very wavy walls. As expected of an early flint wine glass,
this is very light in weight, weighs just 2.7 ounces. A 'high' round
button to the interior of the bowl. Completely clear and clean, no
haze at all. Some small bubbles in the folded foot and one tiny trapped
spec of sand or flint in the base.
A light high 'Ring" when struck.
Size: 4-3/8" High x 2-1/8" across
the bowl - 2-3/8" across the foot
