Antique FLINT Glass
A beautiful shape to this early Flint
Glass free blown decanter.
The body has wavy glass walls, a wide
flat pouring lip with and two rings around the
neck. The neck rings were applied and
tooled into shape. The 'Teardrop' stopper is a beauty, very heavy free
blown and cut. It is not original to the decanter. The decanter
has an un-polished pontil on the base.
Size: 9-1/2" high to top of
pouring lip - 11-1/4" high including stopper - 8-1/2" high to
top of pouring lip - 4" across the
Very Good Condition. The pouring
lip at the outer edge has a two single small shallow chips. There is
a very faint small amount of residue to the interior of the neck and lower
portion of the decanter. The rings around the neck show some tooling
inconsistencies, but no cracks or chips. Some very small pinpoints
of roughness to the stopper.
Expected shelf wear to the base from
use over approximately 165 years,
