An Antique Forged Iron
From a local Lancaster County Pennsylvania
The counties of Lancaster, Lebanon
and Berks here in our area of Pennsylvania produced some of the best early
ironware in the 1700's and early 1800's. At that time there were more
working forges (furnaces) in this area of PA. than any where in New England.
This rare early cast iron ladle is
from a local collection here in Lancaster County,
Made all in one piece. The shape
is simple and primitive but quite
Good and strong and heavy for it's
small it weighs slightly more than 1 lb.
In excellent condition, no breaks,
no damage, no repairs.
Untouched, it's original patina is
