DESCRIPTION
A finely made antique tasting spoon. A beautiful 18th
Century antique cooking utensil from a local Lancaster County Pennsylvania
estate.
It has a small round bowl made of hammered brass and a smooth
to the touch rim edge. The bowl of the spoon is attached to the handle
with two small hammered copper rivets. The long iron handle is offset
at the bowl for an easy grip when placed on a flat surface. The handle
is well shaped with a rolled over hanging hook at the
end.
Fabulous balance to this spoon, wonderful weight, weighs
7 ounces, it was very well made.
This is as usable today as it was more than 150 years ago
... beautiful craftsmanship ... perfectly balanced!
