DESCRIPTION

A finely made antique tasting spoon.  A beautiful 18th Century antique cooking utensil from a local Lancaster County Pennsylvania estate.

It has a small round bowl made of hammered brass and a smooth to the touch rim edge.  The bowl of the spoon is attached to the handle with two small hammered copper rivets.  The long iron handle is offset at the bowl for an easy grip when placed on a flat surface.  The handle is well shaped with a rolled over hanging hook at the end.

Fabulous balance to this spoon, wonderful weight, weighs 7 ounces, it was very well made.

This is as usable today as it was more than 150 years ago ... beautiful craftsmanship ... perfectly balanced!

Size:

15" long overall - bowl measures 2-3/8" across and 3/4" depth.

Excellent Condition
