DESCRIPTION

A handsome early primitive, a wrought iron flat spatula.  This one in the much sought after "Keyhole" shape.  Short thick handle with double incised lines, blade narrows toward tip, a good hanging hook end with tight curl.  Nicely balanced in your hand, and a good weight, weighs 7 ounces.

This had plenty of use at the hearth for many years as you can see from the heat pitting overall.

Untouched,  we left it just as found.  It's original patina is still in tact, some rust visible.

A good and handsome original early 1800's wrought iron cooking utensil ... perfect for your collection!

10-7/8" long

3-5/8" across at end of blade
