Great  Graphic Design!

c.1900 Antique Quilt - CHEDDAR & RED

Nine Patch On Point

Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

Reversible BARS BACK

A gorgeous graphic design antique quilt!

Brilliant colors of Cheddar & Red ... plus a BARS BACK.

Yes, this beautiful antique circa 1900 Pennsylvania quilt is reversible!

The pattern on the front is a 9 patch on point framed in brilliant cheddar.

The red background fabric has a black printed vine.

The double sashing surrounding the 9 patch centerfield is done in cheddar with a tulip and vine print.

All cotton fabrics and a thin cotton batting.

A delightful surprise is on the reverse of this stunning quilt, a gorgeous BARS BACK!

Deep green with sprigged daisy flower print alternates with the same deep brilliant red on the front of the quilt.

All hand quilted and hand pieced. Amazing handwork, the tinest of stitches making up every bit of this beauty,

so neat and carefully accomplished overall!

Expertly quilted at 8 stitches to the inch, channel quilting to the wide outer border,

outline quilted overall the 9 patch squares and floral design quilting on the rest of the quilt.

The binding was applied by hand very narrow and finished with tiny careful stitches

Size: 80" x 80"

Excellent Condition.

No wear, no stains.

A small repair needed to the back where there are two tiny areas that need mending or patching.
See the image of the back of the quilt,  the second green bar from the left shows the tow tiny areas.
The image directly below the bars back shows a close-up view.
